THE MISADVENTURES OF BUCKY AND BEENE follows a day in the life of two pirate-radio DJs: Pepper Buckthorne who was formerly Miss Gay USA and her sassy sidekick Jelly Beene. From an airstream in upstate New York, the campy duo (known as Bucky and Beene) host their WRU-GAY in the morning radio show, infuriating the good ol' boys who are spurred to hunt them down. Despite the campiness and humor of the show, some real tensions play out among our outspoken radio hosts and the small minded townsfolk who despise their "gay agenda." When Sharon, the DJs' free-spirited neighbor realizes Bucky and Beene are in trouble, she rushes to their aid and the three unlikely characters suddenly end up in peril.
